Governance

Duke Global Health Institute is governed by a 20-member Executive Committee that is charged with advising the Institute on its programmatic priorities, faculty recruitment and strategic endeavors.  The Committee also helps monitor the Institute’s progress and review Institutional Partners.  Executive Committee members serve two-year terms and are appointed by either the Chancellor of the Health System or Provost of the University.

In addition to the Executive Committee, the Institute is also advised by a Deans’ Council composed of the Deans of all Schools at the University; a Student Council made up of undergraduate, graduate and professional students; and an External Advisory Committee of representatives with a broad range of expertise in global health.
