Funding Global Health Opportunities

Duke Global Health Institute

DGHI offers a limited number of grants for global health projects for graduate students and undergraduate students who are not eligible for DukeEngage funding (either because they already have received DukeEngage funding or because their projects are not funded by DukeEngage due to scope or length). In addition to funding fieldwork itself, DGHI also offers grants for students who wish to present their fieldwork at academic conferences.

Duke Engage
The DukeEngage program provides funding for Duke undergraduate students who wish to pursue a summer, semester, or year-long intensive civic engagement experience anywhere in the world. Through DukeEngage, Duke students can use what they have learned in the classroom to address societal issues both at home and abroad. Civic engagement may take many forms, ranging from individual volunteerism to non-partisan political participation. To be eligible, the student must have completed two semesters of study at Duke, be in good academic standing, and not have displayed inappropriate behavior that would jeopardize one’s ability to participate in DukeEngage as determined through a Dean’s check.

The Research Support Office links to many sources of funding for undergraduate research, at Duke and beyond.
