Programs Abroad

In the summers of 2009 and 2010, DGHI partnered with Peking University Health Science Center to offer a two-week short course in global health. Duke Faculty partnered with PKU faculty to develop and teach four courses – an introductory course, comparative health systems, global health ethics, and health promotion.
Duke undergraduate students study development, environment, and global health in India and China as part of Duke’s Global Semester Abroad (GSA).
Additional Programs at Duke Supported in Part by DGHI
DGHI partners with the Duke Chapter of Engineering World Health to support up to two students to participate in the EWH summer institute. For more information, see http://ewh.org/index.php/programs/institutes/duke/.
DGHI offers up to two scholarships per year for students who are accepted into the Global Health Fellows Program at the Sanford School of Public Policy. For more information on the program, see http://sanford.duke.edu/graduate/mpp/geneva/.
