The Duke Global Health Institute (DGHI) Board of Advisors held its annual meeting last Tuesday in Durham, North Carolina.
Members heard presentations on the Bass Connections global health theme, the new Duke Digital Health Sciences Center and global health research being done at by faculty and students at the Pratt School of Engineering.
They met with Eugene Washington, chancellor for health affairs and the president and chief executive officer of the Duke University Health System, and heard a progress report from DGHI director Michael Merson. DGHI faculty members Melissa Watt and Chris Woods spoke about DGHI’s education programs and Ebola research, respectively
