Global Health Seniors Receive Honors

Congratulations to the seven global health certificate students who will graduate this weekend with various honors. At Friday’s Global Health Commencement, DGHI will also present awards for Outstanding Thesis and Outstanding Capstone Research Project.


-Sarah A. Chapin received the Joel Fleishman Distinguished Scholar Award for highest academic achievement in public policy studies.

-Huang Huang won the Faculty Scholar Award, the highest award given to students by the faculty.

-Maxwell Phillip Kligerman won the Alona E. Evans Prize in International Law. He is also receiving Graduation with Distinction for a global health project.

-Leah Madeline McCrary won the Paul Farmer Award for Justice and Social Responsibility, as well as the Anne McDougall Memorial Award for pursuing areas of human service through psychology and related fields. She is also receiving Graduation with Distinction for a global health project.

-Rollin Say won the Distinction in Economics and Distinction in Research.


The following global health certificate students will graduate with Phi Beta Kappa honors:
-Huang Huang
-Meghan Lorraine Rudder
-Melanie Preethika Subramanian
