After receiving a record number of applications, the Duke Master of Science in Global Health (MSc-GH) welcomes its largest class to campus this fall.  Of the 35 students joining the new class, nearly half are international students.

The new class includes students from 20 US states and 12 countries. The class represents 25 undergraduate majors with students from a variety of backgrounds, from environmental health to engineering, the humanities and law. The class also includes four physicians, with several others planning to combine medicine and global health in the future. Five students have a prior degree from Duke, and one student will pursue the joint JD/MSc-GH at Duke.

The diversity of the class is one of the hallmarks of the MSc-GH at Duke because students are able to learn from one another in addition to the faculty, adding valuable perspective to classroom discussion and the overall program experience.

Applications for the 2015 class open September 1.
