Larry Gostin, the director of Georgetown University’s O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law, will present the ninth University Seminar on Global Health for 2008-09. He will speak on the laws that shape and affect global health.

The event is free, but registration is appreciated to help ensure adequate seating.

The University Seminar on Global Health is an important component of the Duke Global Health Institute’s effort to bring together a multi-disciplinary group of faculty and students from both the University and Duke Medicine and expand the interest and knowledge of global health. Speakers for the 2008-09 series are leading figures in global health from Duke and other major universities.  The seminar series is co-sponsored by the Duke Global Health Institute and the Duke University Center for International Studies.

All seminars take place at 4:30 pm at the John Hope Franklin Center at Duke University. Free parking is available across the street in the Pickens Clinic lot. Light refreshments will be served.
