Funding Opportunity: Fogarty International Center Non-communicable Chronic Disease Research Training Program: Deadline Sept 28

The Fogarty International Center has issued a Funding Opportunity Announcement for a research training program that would train a cadre of experts in a low and middle income country (LMIC) institution who can assess the magnitude in LMIC of non-communicable diseases such as cancer, cerebrovascular disease including stroke, lung disease including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and obesity, as well as genetics, environmental factors including indoor air pollution, and lifestyle factors related these conditions.

The PI must have strong chronic non-communicable disease research and research-training program experience, at least one active chronic, non-communicable disease-related research award from NIH or any other national or international organization or foundation directly relevant to the research training proposed, and some existing collaboration with the foreign site which can be of an educational nature.
