Diana directs the communications, marketing, special events and alumni relations programming at the Duke Global Health Institute. She and her fellow team members are responsible for advancing the reputation of DGHI. Prior to joining DGHI, Diana served as chief communications officer and deputy chief of staff to the president at the University of Minnesota. Before that she was Assistant Dean for External Relations at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. She has spent the majority of her 25-year communications career in the health and higher education sectors. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Minnesota.
Favorite activities outside of work: Cooking, yoga, family time (I am married with two college-aged sons), hanging out with friends.
Favorite country I've traveled to and why: India, for all of its color and chaos.
Why I'm interested in global health: Health is a fundamental human right. I am committed to playing whatever role I can in advancing this important principle.
