Emily Welker serves as Research Associate for the Healthy Eating Research program and is based at the Duke Global Health Institute at Duke University. Emily's main responsibilities at Healthy Eating Research involve managing Healthy Eating Research's commissioned research projects and providing technical assistance to Healthy Eating Research grantees. She also serves as the Healthy Eating Research liaison to the Healthy Food Retail and Early Care and Education working groups. Prior to starting at Duke, Emily was in the MPH/RD program at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. She completed her practicum at the Food Research and Action Center in Washington, D.C., where her work was focused on the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Emily is a Registered Dietitian with a BA in Biology and a MPH from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Favorite activity/ hobby outside of work: Hiking and trying new restaurants.
