Dr. Cooper-Owens is the Charles and Linda Wilson Professor in the History of Medicine, Director of the Humanities in Medicine Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and author of "Medical Bondage: Race, Gender, and the Origins of American Gynecology"
