Our Work Map

India

The Institute’s diverse activities and collaborations take place in a number of locations across India. Thematically, DGHI’s global health research approach in India primarily focuses on chronic disease, environmental health, health systems strengthening, and health inequalities. Partnerships are central to the Institute’s ability to collaborate and to develop sustainable programs. DGHI supports several types of educational partnerships including Duke undergraduates undertaking field work through the Student Research Training Program and MSc-GH students conducting mentored thesis research with India-based faculty support throughout the country. DGHI is also a part of dynamic multi-institutional collaborations working in India such as COHESIVE.

DGHI fosters diverse collaborations across India through partners including Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), Medanta – The Medicity, and Shiv Nadar University.
