Faculty and students are engaging in a growing number of global health research projects in Laos, officially the Lao People's Democratic Republic. Through the Program on Global Health and Technology Access at the Sanford School of Public Policy, DGHI faculty are examining the political economy of tobacco control and its impact on health in Southeast Asia -- including Laos. Students in the Master of Science in Global Health program have also undertaken research related to HIV and malaria.
