Our Bass Connections team traveled to Boston in March for the Consortium of Universities for Global Health conference. We presented our research with Penda Health on clincal quality measurement and adherence.

We heard a fantastic line-up of speakers, with some very relevant discussions arround innnovations in healthcare and health systems strengthening. A highlight for me was the debate between Olusoji Adeyi and Sandro Galea about the use of a health systems model versus vertical programs to tackle the Sustainable Development Goals. This post by Nellie Smith as CSIS summarized the debate well and makes a strong and compelling case for both models.
