Academic program directors from 17 graduate programs in global health were invited to Durham last week to discuss academic global health, a field which has undergone immense growth and development over the last 10 years. The Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) convened the meeting. CUGH works to capitalize on universities’ unique ability to transform global health through research, education and service.

Discussion topics included global health graduate program course curriculum, experiential learning, online education, program financing, career opportunities and combination bachelor’s-master’s degrees (4+1 or 3+2).
