DGHI Welcomes New Affiliate Faculty

New affiliates

The Duke Global Health Institute is proud to announce three Duke faculty members who join us as affiliates. These faculty are collaborating with DGHI on research projects and global health course offerings.

Subhashini Chandrasekharan is a research assistant professor at the Institute for Genome Sciences and Policy.  Her research involves the effects of intellectual property on innovation and access to biomedical technologies, particularly emerging genetic and genomic diagnostics.

Joan Clifford is assistant director of the Spanish Language Program in Romance Studies. She is an instructor in Voices of Global Health. Her work has centered on an oral history archive of Spanish-speaking immigrants in North Carolina, and also on course management systems and foreign language curricula.

Deborah Reisinger is assistant director of the French Language Program in Romance Studies. She is also an instructor in Voices of Global Health. Her research focuses on contemporary culture studies, instructional technologies, and French for business, marketing and global health.
