This is a clip from North Carolina Public Radio in which DGHI Member Dr. Jeffrey Wilkinson talks of his work to address fistula in Tanzania.  In the developing world, childbirth still puts mothers and babies at great risk of mortality due to lack of medical resources. A small team of doctors from Duke University Health Services is serving such communities in crisis by providing access to first-class healthcare in developing countries. Dr. Jeffrey Wilkinson is currently working at a facility in Moshi, Tanzania where he helps at-risk women safely deliver children. Wilkinson joins host Frank Stasio to talk about the challenges and rewards of delivering important health services to communities around the world.
