Duke Global Health Institute is pleased to introduce Michael Russell, our new Education Program Coordinator. He will coordinate activities related to Global Health education, with a primary focus on undergraduate students. His responsibilities will include connecting students with appropriate curricular and extracurricular resources on and off campus, assisting with preparation of students for fieldwork, and serving as the initial contact for undergraduate students interested in Global Health courses (including the Global Health Certificate).

Michael comes to DGHI from Peace Corps service in Togo, West Africa, where he served as a Natural Resource Management extension agent. He succeeds Mike Belden, who will continue to be part of the global health community at Duke in a new position with the Duke University Health Inequalities Program.
