Based in Moshi, Tanzania, Blandina Mmbaga is a pediatrician at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center (KCMC), lecturer at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College of the Tumaini University Makumira (KCMUC), and director of the Kilimanjaro Clinical Research Institute. Dr. Mmbaga is also the site leader for the KCMC-Duke collaboration. As the site leaders, she provides leadership, advice and supervision; mentors Duke students; and serves as the key liaison between the KCMC-Duke Collaboration and the KCMC Administration.
Dr. Mmbaga received her MD at Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy in Russia and her MMED degree in pediatric and child health at KCMUC. She received her PhD in public health and epidemiology at the University of Bergen in Norway.
