Melissa Kay

Research Scholar

Melissa is a Research Scholar at the Duke Global Digital Health Science Center and the Duke Center for Childhood Obesity Research. Her interests focus on the nutritional needs of women and children around the world with a focus on early life obesity prevention. Her research focuses on the implementation and dissemination of innovative digital health interventions to improve diet quality among mothers of young children and support breastfeeding, particularly among racial and ethnic minority populations. Melissa received her MPH and MS in Food Policy and Applied Nutrition from Tufts University and her PhD in Nutrition Interventions and Policy from UNC. She is also a Registered Dietitian.
