Bekah O’Reilly (they/them) is an empathetic, passionate and tenacious person. They graduated from UNCG with BA in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and a minor in Music. They grew up in the greater Charlotte area, and after living in Greensboro for 7 years, they have come back to make a positive impact in the Charlotte LGBTQ community and work towards their goal to pursue a master's degree in social work. Their passion for activism and artistic expression helped them in their role as a Lead Devisor with The Gender Gallery, an interdisciplinary documentary theater project that delves into the expansiveness of gender. Bekah’s special interests include learning more about Queer Theory, Intersectionality, and Disability Culture, as well as spending time with their loving partner and adorable dog. They also enjoy singing, both classically and casually, and was a member of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra Master Chorale. Bekah has recently been reconnecting with their Latine culture and in doing so has gained conversational Spanish skills as well as an intermediate written Spanish ability. They are very excited to be a part of Charlotte Trans Health, serving as the Case Manager for the PATH program (path@charlottetranshealth.org), which is funded by an ARPA grant facilitated by Duke.
