To start a conversation with me, ask me: About my family or genealogy research.
Something interesting most people don't know about me: I worked for a number of years as a Christian missionary in the USVI.
Favorite activity/ hobby outside of work: I love history so there's old cars (I drive a '63 Chevy), old music (large collection of 45's , 33's and 78's) ; My wife and I volunteer with a church food pantry that feeds about 100 people a month.
Favorite country I've traveled to and why: There are 2: South Africa - went there to film legal professionals at work during the rebuilding of the government after the fall of Aparthied. Kenya - traveled there as an Elder with the Triangle Church to establish communications with the Nairobi Christian church there. My church here gives both financial and personal support to the Nairobi Church with regular communications and volunteers going to Kenya each year to work in both clinical and church settings.
Recent book I read: What Every Man Wishes His Father Had Told Him by Byron Forrest Yawn
Favorite food: Lamb chops
Why I'm interested in global health: For me, working here is all about using my skills to assist those trying to make a difference in the world. The folks here at DGHI are genuinely interested in solving the problems of inadequate health care and safety in the world. It is my pleasure to help them do this.
