Michael leads the team responsible for sharing the work of the Duke Global Health Institute with internal and external audiences. In addition to setting overall communications and marketing strategy, Michael identifies the best ways to spread the word about DGHI's mission and impact around the world. Previously, he served as senior director of marketing with the Duke University Office of Alumni Affairs. He also worked in several communications positions at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned a master's degree in journalism and mass communications.
Favorite food: Anything Indian
Why I'm interested in global health: Because it's among the most hopeful and necessary endeavors a university can undertake. I love Duke because the students and faculty here fervently believe that real change is possible, even on our most daunting challenges. And every day they provide it with their research and service.
