Cayla is a Clinical Research Specialist for Duke Digital Health, led by Dr. Gary Bennett. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise and Sport Science and Global Studies. She has previously worked with the UNC Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention on a family-focused intervention that promotes healthy weight behaviors in underserved families with preschool-aged children. Also, she has participated in medical trips through Global Bridgades, a nonprofit health and sustainable development organization that travels to Central America. In the future, she is planning to pursue a Master's in Public Health.

Favorite country I've traveled to and why: Most definitely Chile, for now. From the Atacama Desert to the Patagonia, the country's landscape is absolutely breathtaking. There's an adventure around every corner.

Favorite food: Tacos. Fish tacos. Chicken tacos. All the tacos.
