This study aims to evaluate outcomes of neurosurgical procedures in Uganda comparing care providers with different level of training. We hypothesize that, for simple neurosurgical procedures, there will be no difference in outcomes between different providers.
Furthermore, since cases that are not handled by the medical officers are usually referred to Mulago or Mbarara, understanding the providers' referral decision-making process become critical. The study aims to assess the referral decision-making process at the district hospitals.
