Administered by DGHI and conferred by the Duke Graduate School, the MSc-GH degree is a full-time graduate level program that helps students gain a better understanding of the diverse causes of and solutions to health problems from an interdisciplinary and global perspective.
For Duke Students only, this School of Medicine program, in collaboration with DGHI, supports third year medical students seeking a year-long research experience focused on reducing health disparities in low and middle income countries and regions.
This is an interdisciplinary program that includes a fieldwork or internship experience, which promotes understanding of health disparities and the determinants of health. Students also learn to formulate innovative solutions to reduce health disparities around the globe.
The Duke Global Health Institute offers a range of courses for all students at the graduate level who are interested in learning more about global health.
The program offers support to doctoral students working with, and being mentored by, a DGHI faculty member. The program encourages students to work on a global health project with their faculty mentor, develop a global health dissertation, and become involved in the DGHI community.
The Global Health Conversations Series is designed to stimulate informal dialogue between prominent leaders in global health and undergraduate, graduate, medical and professional students at Duke.
