Undergraduate Programs

The Duke Global Health Institute offers a range of courses for all students at the undergraduate level who are interested in learning more about global health.




This is an interdisciplinary program that includes a fieldwork or internship experience, which promotes understanding of health disparities and the determinants of health. Students also learn to formulate innovative solutions to reduce health disparities around the globe.



This is a one-semester series of interdisciplinary seminars that focus on health disparities. This cluster trains first-year students to identify factors that influence individual and population-level health in the U.S. and abroad. (Note: The cluster is only available for incoming first-year students.)


Duke undergraduate students study development, environment, and global health in India and China as part of Duke’s Global Semester Abroad (GSA).
