The women of SuWA present Voices of Home: A Photovoice Exhibition sharing the images and stories of fourteen resettled Iraqi women living in Durham, NC. The women of SuWA will be selling their handcrafted goods at the event. There will also be a fundraiser to support a school mural project for Syrian refugee youth in Azraq camp in Jordan.

This exhibit is part of a multi-year community based research project on refugee resettlement in Durham. The exhibit celebrates the second year of SuWA---a partnership between Duke students and the community that promotes empowerment, education and enterprise for newly resettled women and their families.

Light refreshments will be served.
