More than 1,000 Duke alumni have graduated with degrees in global health, and many more have personal or professional interests in working toward greater health equity globally and locally. DGHI is committed to engaging this powerful global network of alumni through events, networking and ongoing communication. Here are a few things you can do to ensure you stay connected with us and fellow global health alumni around the world.
Keep your contacts updated
Make sure you’re signed up for our Worldview monthly newsletter and other news and updates. DGHI alumni should automatically receive these emails, but if we’re using your Duke student email address, that email unfortunately won’t last forever. Be sure Duke has a permanent email address so you continue to get all the news and invitations from us. You can get an alumni email address that lasts a lifetime. Read more details here. Then, update your email preferences with us using the Worldview link above.
Meet us on LinkedIn
We’re ramping up our presence on LinkedIn and are regularly sharing alumni news, career development tips and the latest from Duke and DGHI. Make sure you are following DGHI and list the institute in your education and employment profile. And make sure you’re signed up for the Duke Alumni in Global Health group, where you can share job opportunities, news or questions with hundreds of fellow Duke global health graduates.
While you’re at it, be sure you’re following DGHI on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Instagram and YouTube to stay up-to-date on news from the field and happenings around Trent Hall.
Explore the Duke alumni network
Find and network with more than 150,000 Duke alumni all over the world through the Duke Alumni Association’s Alumni Network. Only Duke alumni and students have access to this powerful tool, which allows you to search for alumni in specific companies or jobs, or who share Duke affiliations with you. Be sure to keep your career and contact information current so students and classmates can reach you. If you haven’t logged in to your profile, click on the Register button and follow the instructions.
Go ahead, brag a little
