Getting involved with a health-focused student organization is a good way to develop leadership and team-building skills while providing valuable services to the community. We encourage global health students at all levels to explore opportunities with these student and community organizations.
DGHI Organizations
- Duke Global Health Majors Union - the Global Health Major’s Union (GHMU) brings together students interested in Global Health, presents a forum for communication between DGHI and undergraduate students, and provides mentorship to students interested in Global Health at Duke and as a career. Students can join the organization via DukeGroups.
- Duke Global Health Graduate Student Association - GSA’s goal is to bring students interested in global health together, present a forum for communication between the Duke Global Health Institute and graduate students studying global health, and provide mentorship to students interested in global health at Duke and as a career. Joining GSA also provides students the opportunity to network, develop leadership skills, and engage in social and cultural connections. Students interested in joining GSA should reach out to their global health advisor.
