Dr. Armstrong's clinical and research interests are in the prevention and treatment of childhood and adolescent obesity. As director of the Duke Children's Healthy Lifestyles Program, Dr. Armstrong oversees a cohort of over 3000 overweight children and teenagers. Research questions of particular interest include sustaining effective outpatient management of overweight and obese children in a primary care setting, and factors that determine level of reimbursement.
