Malaika Beverly
Program Coordinator
Malaika Beverly brings a wealth of experience in youth advocacy and program facilitation to her role as Program Coordinator for the Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program (AP3). With over three years of dedicated work with young people, Malaika is committed to empowering adolescents to make informed decisions about their reproductive health. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Johnson C. Smith University (2018) and a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore (2019). Mala's passion for supporting youth and her academic background make her a valuable asset to the AP3 team. Mala will work alongside of the AP3 Project Coordinator to initiate and maintain efforts to expand the Duke Teen Health Club into Pitt and Greene County, in Eastern NC. Mala’s role will be instrumental in supporting the Duke Teen Health Club expansion, coordinating, facilitating and monitoring selected evidence-based programs with teen participants, and effectively executing deliverables for the co-organizing the newly-developed Let’s Talk! Teen Health event, co-leading the Pitt-Greene Community Advisory Council and establishing the AP3 Teen Leadership Council (AP3-TLC).
