Whitney is originally from rural Tennessee, has an MA in History from Ole Miss, and brings with her previous communications and outreach experience from working at Duke Divinity School. In her role with the Religion and Social Change Lab (RaSCL), which is part of the Clergy & Religion Research Collaborative, she is responsible for communications related tasks like the website, newsletter, and social media management, as well as engagement related tasks like event planning and promotion. She is, by her own account, a very social creature and can talk endlessly about plants, dogs, books, and travel.
