Several factors play a role in bringing healthcare into an ecosystem. The health sectors of low- and middle-income countries are facing major challenges and reforms at the same time. The healthcare actors try to develop an ecosystem for better provision of services, but still the policy identifies many issues in efficient healthcare provision. The accessibility to healthcare, infrastructure capacity and lack of health literacy imposes hurdles in health seeking activities by the population of these countries.

Therefore, the project will explore the existing literature on healthcare innovation, referring to an inter-organisational perspective from low- and middle-income countries. It will quote the success and failures of healthcare innovation start ups and high growth ventures and analyse literature on entrepreneurial ecosystem and its evolution in healthcare.
