Parasuicide Project Update No. 2

My most recent contact has been the director of the psychiatric clinic at the national referral hospital. We have had several meetings, and it has been very interesting to learn about their consultation process for patients admitted to the hospital following a suicide attempt. Along with my research activities, I have agreed to help redesign the psychiatric consult form used at the hospital. The hope is that a new consult form will improve clinical care as well as internal data monitoring. Later on, it might even be something that can be used for capturing data for a hypothesis-driven investigation looking at parasuicide admissions.  However, that is still a while down the road.
