Dr. James Samwel Ngocho, MD, MSc, MPhil, PhD, is a lecturer at the Institute of Public Health (IPH) of the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College (KCMUCo). Concurrently, he serves as a Research Scientist at the Kilimanjaro Clinical Research Institute (KCRI) and Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre - Duke University Collaboration, where he leads projects focused on tuberculosis (TB) and HIV. Specializing in infectious disease epidemiology, Dr. Ngocho's work centers on respiratory tract infections in resource-limited settings. His expertise lies in developing innovative strategies to combat infectious diseases in low and middle-income countries. He is currently a Fogarty Emerging Global Leader Award (K43) Fellow, leading research to develop a clinical decision support algorithm for managing respiratory tract infections in children across Tanzania.
