Research Analyst

As a research analyst with Wendy O’Meara’s lab team, Emily is the US-based project manager for a portfolio of projects centered around the dynamics of malaria transmission. She is a graduate of the Master of Science in Global Health program at Duke University. For her thesis work, Emily explored anemia etiology among children in gold-mining communities within Madre de Dios, Peru. Prior to studying at the Duke Global Health Institute, she facilitated water sampling in search of chronic kidney disease (ckdu) causing pathogens. Having focused her global health career on engaging interdisciplinary One Health approaches towards addressing complex health inequities, she is looking forward to now applying this lens to vector-borne disease research.
