Miriam is a Project Coordinator at the Duke Global Digital Health Science Center on a pragmatic trial to improve weight maintenance among overweight/obese patients in safety net clinics throughout North Carolina. She previously worked for four years at the Duke Center for Health Policy and Inequalities Research on several HIV policy-related studies throughout the Southern US. Miriam received her BA in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley and her MPH in Community Health Sciences from UCLA.

Favorite country I've traveled to and why: Japan. I love Japanese cuisine, art, architecture and culture but the Kinkaku-ji Temple (Golden Pavilion) in Kyoto was one of my favorite places I've been anywhere.
