Designing an Intervention to Improve MI Care in a Tanzanian Emergency Department

Project overview

Dr. Hertz and his research team have been collecting data for the past few years on myocardial infarction (MI) in the Emergency Department of KCMC, a referral hospital in Moshi, Tanzania. From the data we have seen room for improvement around MI diagnosis and care. We are now in the process of designing a multifaceted quality improvement intervention for MI diagnosis and care in the KCMC ED. We have chosen to adapt our intervention from the BRIDGE-ACS study; discussions around adaptation are ongoing.
