Three New Global Health Grants Awarded

Three DGHI faculty received external grants during the second quarter of 2023. These grants were processed by DGHI’s research team and do not include other global health-related grants acquired through other Duke units or schools. The funding will support projects starting this year through 2026. The research will focus on equitable access to medicine, improving microscopic research and reducing child mortality in Mali. Recipient: Osondu Ogbuoji
Project Title: Cost-effectiveness analysis of ProCCM (Pro Community Case Management) in Mali

Award Amount: $15,558


Recipient: Wendy Prudhomme-O’Meara
Project Title: PEARL (Partnership for Enhancing Antimicrobial Use in Resource-Limited Settings) – Phase II
Sponsor: Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
Award Amount: $165,310
