Dr. Ferrari is currently aProfessor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Sciences at Duke University Medical Center. He is directing the CFAR Immunology Core and ADCC laboratories for the HVTN, CAVD, and PAVEG central laboratory at Duke. He served as a WHO/UNAIDS Vaccine Initiative consultant for six years, and coordinated the organization of 5 international workshops for the transfer of ELISpot and ICS technologies to new laboratory sites involved in HIV vaccine studies. He is involved in several initiative supported by NIH and IAS to mentor young investigators in limited resources countries to fight infectious diseases that include AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria.
