Practice-based Pathway: Internship with University Research Co. (URC)

Project overview

During my internship at URC, I worked with the Knowledge Management Director to gain knowledge and practical experience about the organizational structure and internal management strategies of URC, as well as understand the effective project management strategies employed by international NGOs like URC to support their projects. This knowledge is instrumental in developing efficient and impactful health initiatives to address global health challenges. I will reflect on my experience working at URC under four themes related to my main objectives. These four themes are:

1. Knowledge management practices

2. Project Management and Leadership Training Program (PMLTP)

3. Assisting in supporting the field teams of the Malaria Elimination project in Myanmar

4. Meeting with headquarters staff in the HQ office to understand their roles in effectively functioning an NGO with international programs.
